Maryland Cannibal Incompetent To Stand Trial
The Maryland Cannibal who confessed to eating his roommate’s heart and brains after he killed him has been deemed incompetent to stand trial.
Harford County State’s Attorney Joseph I. Cassilly wrote to the judge in the case Monday saying prosecutors have reviewed a report by a psychiatric hospital and agree Alexander Kinyua is incompetent to stand trial. The 21-year-old Joppatowne man has been undergoing a competency evaluation at the Clifton T. Perkins Hospital.
The Kenyan-born Alexander Kinyua has the distinction of being the first Kenyan-born cannibal to be found in the United States. It was also discovered that he stored the hand’s of his victim Nigerian born Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie for a later meal..
