Months after the infamous Miami Cannibal Zombie attacks that left Ronald Poppo without a face, the question as to what prompted the face eating attack remains unanswered. The Ronald Poppo interview did not reveal anything either, it just left us with more questions.
How did this innocent happy child turn into the flesh chewing Miami Cannibal?
Originally, it was thought that Rudy Eugene, the Miami Cannibal was high on “bath salts,” a powerful synthetic amphetamine that has been linked to other cannibal attacks across the country. However, toxicology tests showed Eugene only had marijuana in his sytem.
So what turned an innocent child into a flesh chewing cannibal? Rudy Eugene’s family speculates that he was turned into a zombie. Rudy Eugene is a Haitian. The family believes that a witch doctor put a voodoo curse on Rudy Eugene that turned him into the Miami Zombie Cannibal.

Eugene’s girlfriend believes the only other explanation is supernatural. she believes someone put a Voodoo curse on him. The girlfriend, who unlike Eugene is not Haitian, said she has never believed in Voodoo, until now. “I don’t know how else to explain this,” she told CBS4 News.
